I understand your need to show party loyalty, Republicans; however, the facts are the facts. Your party's choices for president and congess and their policies have almost put us in the world's poorhouse. Nobody is wise to turn his back on a newer, better way.
The undeniable fact is that certain policies begun in Nixon's time and carried forward through republican ideology to the most recent G O P president's time have been injurious overall. It truly is not a 'blame Dubya party, folks.'
To even think of running a business or managing one's family finances in the same manner the two G W B administrations were managed would be out of the realm of reason, wisdom or appropriateness. It is difficult to see why those of you who do not believe that simple non-political fact still believe that someday these policies will work.
Remember one thing when you want to belittle the rest of us: we the people are the WORKER BEES. You pay us as you see fit-we build, manufacture or work otherwise for you all with dwindling benefits, dwindling retirement arrangements, no healthcare or poor healthcare, etc etc ad infinitum.
In return for all this largesse you grant us,we buy our goods, food and household items from you-at prices that you seem to not realize are out of sync with what you pay. Those prices are now more horribly inflated since so many jobs have been lost to China, & other places having even needier workers so you can pay even less, which as planned, resulted in more income for you 'Patrons.'
That largesse is not quite worth what you want us to believe it is worth. The final payoff is knowing that this economic system, to provide the required growth for shareholders all this time, has had to be financed through a PLANNED credit based, bank / stock market oriented economy AKA "Market Driven Economy" based on paper-recorded artificial growth. "Growth" enough to greater enhance the riches of the richest.
Looking at the electoral maps of the US in each election, it is easy to see that there are huge numbers of small town GOP followers and as well, many who are actually rural. My question to one who will answer it without rancor and in a truthful manner while giving their respect to those who follow your GOP doctrine support it through the years wherever they live is this:
How do you justify to those; the 'little people,' who stay loyal to you till death, in some cases, that your focus on Big Money and Wheeling & Dealing for huge contributions with which to buy slanderous election ads is a good thing? How do you justify their lifelong waits for it all to, in fact, TRICKLE DOWN?
As many of them are on Food Stamps and Medicaid and Social Security and Medicare and Section 8 Subsidies and other programs just like the filthy Democrats you abhor? Are they more worthy? Oops, sorry, you prefer the word "entitled." Maybe you should truly look around
I am not naive. I know that the influence of the DIXIECRATS is still alive among the Democrats in both houses of Congress. I think less of them, perhaps than of you, for one doesn't poo where one eats, right? Your poor and struggling G O P followers at least know your beliefs and wait for their 'bones' to arrive.
I truly believe that had Barack Obama been a white man, he would have been able to see and lead a truly bipartisan effort in this congress, for both parties have people in hordes suffering the same thing. That was not to be, however.
The focus upon all the people of every party is occluded by the STRUGGLE ABOUT THE RICH, FOR THE RICH AND BY THE RICH. Neither party is without blame here, as I have said.
The struggle we now see on TV is not even about the real americans anymore. Neither party is accepting that and truly attempting to rise to a higher plane. That, friends, is the true issue of this election year, perhaps the most significant electionmost of us will live to see.
