WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE???
I don't like it, but I am not surprised! Many of you talk about getting rid of the cancer in DC-and say "How?" I can tell you the best effort would be to vote all new people who follow a course planned out to put this country back on its feet with jobs instead of raiding the coffers and feathering personal nests
WPA/TVA/Hoover-Dam style jobs-No, they are not PERMANENT JOBS-but in the few years they are in effect, they will get money circulating as the wages are paid-and taxes will be paid, Social Security will be paid and Medicare will get a boost because people will be working, thus their deducted premiums will go in with the taxes- This is what the country needs-and the middle class will begin to rise again through revitalized entrepreneur activity-as these jobs complete, the companies that built them will have a valuable work force to continue the same work in private. Somebody will respond that this sounds like a "Fairy-Tale"-well, friends and neighbors, it is our own fault.
We have the power in every election to change things-and should do so-even when it looks like things are "pretty good...” Entrenchment in the system is the enemy of a Democratic Republic-and yet most of us do not vote, allowing the shysters to go back year after year-Openly bathing publicly in their millions and millions of shady dollars---for the ones that do vote are the ones that pay for all the political blasphemy and filthy tricks.
Here is a thought to ponder-on the election maps, most states are completely Republican-except the metropolitan areas which are usually independent or Democratic. Now in all these red areas, which are quite small towns and rural areas, there are primarily only Republicans. Here's the question: Why do they continue to vote GOP year after year ‘til death, having raised their progeny to do the same? They are, in fact, TERRIBLY UNDER-SERVED by their own party.
This should be obvious even to them-for all the fruits of this deceit go into the scandalous crap in DC and the various money schemes so often in the headlines. At the same time they are reading that, they are begging for better roads, flood control, decent support of schools-and the other things that are falling apart as I write this? MIND YOU-THEY CONTINUE TO VOTE FOR THIS PARTY OF PILFERERS AND CROOKS OVER AND OVER AND OVER-SEEMING TO NEVER LOOK AROUND AT THE NATIONAL DECAY CREEPING UP ON THEM.
IT IS OUR OWN FAULT. IF YOU DON'T VOTE FOR DIFFERENT, THEN DON'T BI**H ABOUT 'SAME-OLD-SAME-OLD.' if you do vote for different, think out of the box-just maybe it can't all be fixed in one year-one term-or two- we have had very limited relief in the last 41 years from this kind of filth in washington-
YET IT NEVER CHANGES-BECAUSE WE DON'T CHANGE IT. we all get caught up in the bloody media's coverage of non-events-the ugliness and terrible lies the project and its coverage of any sensationalism.
My own personal opinion is that the Media in this country have controlled who will run, who will win and who will survive crooked and nefarious deeds once on the job only to continue to serve year after year. In High School I enjoyed the talents of a wonderful teacher whose name was Virginia Berry. She instilled in me the belief that the luxury of living in a free society and quite democratic nation was not just a 'birthright’. We were not only told, but clearly shown that each 'right' of freedom carries with it the righteous DUTY to respect it, to defend it and to support NO ONE who would limit or abolish these rights.
That class in 1961 seems to have been in another time warp, because daily I look on as WE DESECRATE the most valuable and deserving of all those righteous DUTIES-and, friends and neighbors, that right is the right to VOTE. Yet we will send our young men around the world over and over to 'promote democracy and restore the vote' to warring populations. I find that to be beyond ironic-and well into hypocrisy.
